Jay Watson is an artist and writer based out of Brooklyn, New York. Learning darkroom techniques from his grandfather, Jay has been using photographic film as a medium for 10+ years and was recently a resident with Fabrica Research Centre in Italy where he studied archaism under the Catalan filmmaker Carlos Casas, wet plate collodion under Borut Peterlin, and collage from Kensuke Koike. Jay's inspirations include Francesca Woodman, Saul Leiter, Vivian Meier, and Gerda Taro. Jay Recently published a book of experimental fiction with black and white film photographs developed with Venetian water entitled And All That Came After.
